Parties: UK Beach Themed Birthday Party
Hope everyone’s had a great weekend! Here in Honiton it was a weekend of two halves – on Saturday it was insane. The heaviest rain I’ve ever seen and flooding everywhere. It was so bad that when we tried to leave to drive to Exeter we discovered that all the roads out of Honiton were closed – we were stranded! Fortunately we didn’t have anything too urgent on our agenda. Yesterday then was blazing sunshine and 25 degrees, just like July should be! Really random!
Anyway, to keep with the summer and hot weather theme (seems like it needs a bit of encouragement!) today we’re sharing this totally gorgeous beach theme birthday party, which was put together by stationer Josie from Fraser & Parsely and talented photographer Eddie Judd for Eddie’s daughter Poppy’s 7th birthday.
The props and pastel colours are so beautiful, and I love the idea of having a bucket of sand for a beach themed cake! Also putting up a fabric background behind the cake table is a really clever idea and enhances the already fantastic photos. What an amazing girl’s birthday party idea! It’s really lovely to be able to share this party on LoveLuxe today – thanks so much Eddie and Josie!
Over to Eddie to talk us through how she and Josie planned everything…
The initial idea came from when I asked my good friend Josie from Fraser & Parsely – Bespoke Stationery & Party Planning ( www.fraserandparsley.com ) – to help style my daughters birthday party. I loved the idea of a seaside/beach theme she suggested and things kind of snowballed ending up as a Birthday Party/Inspiration Photoshoot to showcase both our talents, and those of some very lovely local suppliers.
The party was themed around the british seaside – lots of cute beach huts, ice cream cookies, buckets & sugar sand – and of course a cheeky seagull inspecting all the yumminess! We even managed to find some super retro White Chocolate Fish & Chips – and made some custom paper to match the invitation to wrap them up in.
We really hope you like the results!
Thanks so much to Eddie and Josie for sharing this beautiful party with us. Looks almost too good to eat (almost – hehe!).

so cute!
So cute! Love the pretty pastel colours xo
Ahhh, beautiful! I wonder if I should be concerned at the similarities between my wedding reception and a 7 year old’s birthday party…we had zinc tins containing seaside themed sweets, we had those same white chic fish and chips, and seaside themed cake pops in buckets full of sand…and our cake was a sandcastle! hahahaha!

A beautifully styled party, the jam jar glasses and pretty straws are just enchanting and I love the seagull and rope display pure seaside xx
What a fabulous party! the pastel scheme works so well for a seaside theme & those little cones of chocolate fish & chips are adorable. The little beach huts are perfect for displaying labels on the table, my daughter has one that she displays her favourite photos on.
Have a great week
Zoe
